D1 - Legal and Ethical Constraints

When creating an advert, advertisers must take into consideration six contributing factors:
  - Accurate description of the product / service
  - Legal
  - Decent
  - Truthful 
  - Honest
  - Socially Responsible
Adverts must not encourage illegal, unsafe or anti-social behaviour

Specific legal constraints that advertising companies must follow are things such as:

- Copyright law

- Intellectual Property rights

- Slander

- Performance rights

- Permission to film

- Royalties

- Violence

- Is it in the public interest
